Luxor is the best-known street artist in La Plata, Buenos Aires. Inspired by modern graffiti after a trip to Brazil, since 2010 he has painted more than 400 murals around the city. His striking and colourful artworks contain influences from South American aboriginal traditions, symbolism and popular culture.
Motifs like the sun, fire, birds, the fist and plants feature in his artworks maintaining a strong Latin America feel. The positive energy in his murals relate to man’s freedom and desire for change and Luxor believes street art can have a positive effect on its surroundings helping to create a better world. Luxor had his first solo show in the city of Buenos Aires at BA Vault Gallery in 2016.
