Alfredo Segatori is an Argentine muralist and recognised as one of the first artists to paint in the street in Argentina. He holds the record for the largest mural in South America painted by a single artist measuring more than 3000m2 covering three adjoining buildings in the neighbourhood of Barracas.
His portraits of everyday people and historical figures painted with aerosol, known as ‘urban mirrors’, can be seen all over the walls of the city. Segatori’s style is self-taught and is extremely versatile. He is best known for his figurative works but he also creates abstract artworks on canvas consisting of only colour and form.
